Hello one and all!
Our studio here at Tennessee Tech is off and rolling before the semester has been able to start.  We have a had a small set back, not to anyone's disappointment, with cancellations of the first two days of classes due to snow. We are very excited to get started though. Our very own Jillian Storey is off to Columbus, Georgia this weekend to compete at the Regional Level of the MTNA Southern Division Young Artists Competition.  She recently won the state division of this competition, and also the Joan Derryberry Memorial Concerto Competition hosted by Tennessee Tech. She will be playing  the Ibert Concerto with the Bryan Symphony Orchestra this spring for winning that competition.  Kicking off performances for the studio this semester is a duo recital given by our own Dr. Martin and guest artist Dr. Hal Ott from Central Washington University on Friday, January 21st at 7:30p.m. There are many other great performances and events going on at the school this semester from choir concerts, solo student and faculty recitals, and major ensemble concerts.  It's gearing up to be another great semester for the music department of Tennessee Technological University, and we cordially invite you to join us any time in our wonderful world of music.

Have a wonderful spring!
